Just had a no-show today because of this. The client made a mistake typing their address, never got a confirmation or reminder, and didn't show up. If an email bounces, we need to know about it as soon as possible, so we can figure out why and get it fixed.

    Hey Team,

We’re actually developing an even better solution than the client having to reply and re-confirm. We’re building a client facing application so they can “manage their bookings” including book, rebook, reschedule, cancel and even leave reviews!

As it’s all live bookings, it’s automatically confirmed. They’ll be reminded through the application to give them a chance to change the service details so there’s no need to re-confirm. If they no-show, you can choose to apply a no show fee or cancellation fee as you have their card details, once processing payments is live.

    Let us know your thoughts!

Does "client-facing application" mean the client would have to install a mobile app to cancel?

This is really important to us as well. For each category, we have three services whose differences are mentioned after the titles are truncated, so all three look the exact same on mobile.

Titles need to be fully displayed, so line wrapping is necessary here. Any word on this? Looks like it's been under review for almost a year.

Very much appreciate this is an important feature request for our users! As soon as we have gone live with Payment processing, No Show Protection, the Native app, marketing features and packages, we’ll then have the capacity to take this one :)

All other features should be live in the next couple of months <3

I'd love to hear if there's an update on this. We have to find another service soon, but it needs to sync with our existing appointments, and we use Google Calendar for everything.

Sigh. Deleting prices shows a gray 0.00 in the price field, and still ignores changes when you click Save. I know this is an oversight, not a dark pattern or anything, but it's been months. Can this get fixed?

Still hoping for an optional price field. We're being forced to find a new scheduler this week, and Shedul still has this strange required bit that's not helping.

@Katie That's a great point. We list our prices very carefully on the site, but we understand that users don't always approach text and numbers the way we expect them to. Even something like tiered price systems relies on the client themselves to understand both what they're looking for and the differences in what we provide. Plus, we always discuss services, materials and pricing at the start of each service, because we know there's bound to be some changes here and there.

We'd really like to give Shedul another shot, so we're hoping this is still something they'd consider.

Is there an update for this? We're about to start moving our calendars over to Square Appointments, although we're not exactly thrilled about their monthly fee. Still, they have the price options we need for our services.

Square offers five price categories: Fixed, Starting at, Free, Price varies, Call us, and one that doesn't mention price at all. We're only going to use two or three of these, but the ability to let people know our services vary based on a number of factors is really important to us.

@Lisa The fact that nobody else offers it shouldn't matter, if it's something users need. Setting a price at $0 explicitly states it as a free service. We need the system to set aside a block of time, while informing clients that services are a certain amount per minute, and each service will vary. That's transparency. $0 is confusion.

Don't know if this is still actively under review, but this being a required field is really the primary reason we still haven't switched to Shedul. Non-collapsible categories is annoying, but this is breaking for us.

We have a few services, like nail art, that are $1/minute, and we need to let clients add an extra block of time to their services for nail art, but we can't say how much it'll cost. Making the price field optional would be great in this case. Otherwise, we can't even really let clients add nail art, which means we're not able to switch to Shedul just yet.

    Hi Cameron,

Thanks for the suggestion. We are exploring this as a option – in the meantime, there is an easier solution for you. If you go to “Rosters” you can apply Work or Not Working for irregular working days and this will update the calendar.

Let me know if you find this ok.
    Thanks!
    Justyne

This is already implemented. I think it's the very last option before you hit Save. You can choose to add extra time before or after each service.
