Client Confirm Appointment Text
I think it would be nice if in the sms confirmation it would say "respond YES to confirm" and once the client confirms we are notified
We’re actually developing an even better solution than the client having to reply and re-confirm. We’re building a client facing application so they can “manage their bookings” including book, rebook, reschedule, cancel and even leave reviews!
As it’s all live bookings, it’s automatically confirmed. They’ll be reminded through the application to give them a chance to change the service details so there’s no need to re-confirm. If they no-show, you can choose to apply a no show fee or cancellation fee as you have their card details, once processing payments is live.

Please add a way on the forums to up vote or down vote responses by admins. It would be a much better metric of if you ideas and developers are on the correct track based on user response. For this particular topic i love the idea submitted by Melissa but, I am not in favor of the "better solution" proposed by the team. a simple reply with the SMS reminder is a better way for us to know if someone forgot and cant make it. Notification by SMS back to the stylist of a "NO" reply will give us the chance to reschedule.
Hi there, whilst some businesses may benefit from clients being able to "manage their bookings" for my business it is far more important just to be able to reply to the text YES or NO when a confirmation text has been sent out.I am not not wanting my clients to be able to re-schedule their bookings online. Can I ask if this will be included as part of the free system or will there be fees associated with this service? Thank you.

While the app might be attractive to some businesses, we don't really need it. I'm voting for the simpler feature of confirming appointments with a reply.

The app is a great idea but not for everyone, i think you should add the feature to get confirmation on if your client is coming or not.
Not every client wants a client facing application or wants to download the application. I think ability to respond to texts is one of the most requested feature from our clients.
I wonder is there a way that can let client reply our sms notification? I noticed there's some apps can help the company to send a reminder to client and let the client to choose between 1 & 2. 1 is to confirm the appointment and 2 is to cancel the appointment. This way we can know if the client will be able to come or not. Before we call client to confirm the appointment one day ahead of their appointment. This way will let us know if the client will be able to make it or not. Now we using this sms notification, we are unable to track if the client have last minute changes.
because people can turn off post notifications will they still get text message reminders even if using the app? One of the reasons I chose Shedul was because of the text reminders and my clients are constantly commenting on how helpful they are - although an app for us would be amazing not all clients are going to want to use it and hopefully they can still get texts :)

Does "client-facing application" mean the client would have to install a mobile app to cancel?
i do not agree with the client being able to cancel, or reschedule without contacting me first. I NEED to have notifications that my clients have confirmed, or tried to cancel appointments so that I might try to fill that space! That feature is an absolute MUST for us solo businesses.
I do not want them to have the option to "manage bookings" ....this feature would give "fake clients" or those who don't respect your time the ability to "mess with" your schedule. I have had several recent clients "fake book" appointments with a different service I used, which is why I won't allow online booking.
We NEED to know they have confirmed, and a push notification to our phones, or in our scheduling program would be appreciated.
If I cannot know they have confirmed or tried to cancel/reschedule, I will have to delete my account.
i like the idea suggested below to have a link to confirm, i don't however agree with allowing the the option to reschedule or cancel

I would like to see a confirm yes / no Button as well! There is no way my clients should be managing their own appointments but it would be nice to know who is coming in that week! I used to individually text everybody every week to remind them and confirm their appointments. This program makes it so nice that I don't have to do that but it does feel much more disconnected without having the correspondence back from the client. It would also be nice to have more characters in the automatic messages going out, it could feel a little more personal and we could say a little more. I need more than just a few sentences ;-)
As many other comments have stated, a simple web link to confirm an appointment would be a good start. However, people only have to reply 'Y' to every other booking system in use, so this is what they expect.
SMS confirmations are a must, and many salons either would or are paying for this feature with other booking systems. Unfortunately I will have to considering changing to another service for this feature if not implemented in some form soon.
The planned client app seems, to be honest, a wast of time. The last thing a client should have to worry about is an app, just to book an appointment.
A simple link from the text that, once followed, confirms their appointment if left or closed, but also has an option to cancel or reschedule on the webpage would be a good free option. This means you only need a single link, with 'follow the link to confirm, change or cancel your appointment.'
This would save a lot of time, yet the reply 'Y' SMS confirmations is what clients want.
I don't mind, as a client, downloading an app to do this. However if it's a service I wont use as often as I'd like, I would never download an app. There are so many apps that clog up my phone.
I would rather a link in a text that says "click here to confirm". At least if they don't confirm I can follow up with a phone call and edit their info for them.

I am extremely impressed with your site and customer involvement! I would not only pay for this service myself but plan on Tell everyone I know. However, I am NOT doing, nor will ever do, online booking as I am a color and extensions specialist only. Not one of my clients knows what they want/need and the correct time to allot accordingly. I book 3 months out and I already charge a 72hrs in advance cancellation fee so I MUST be able to send a "friendly reminder"/"press here/reply C to confirm" so I can have contact with my client once a confirmation has been sent. Even a re-direct to our phone is something as somebody mentioned above. This is imperative for my business and my client expectations. Please, please consider each of these reviews!
no a confirmation text is a lot better, I can't have clients just moving and changing whatever they want
