Staff Attendance Tracking
Is it possible to add staff arriving to CLOCK IN personally either by scanning their bar code or any other way? It would be great to have this integrated in Shedul so I can have the exact time of each staff member because I, like many others I pay the staff in hourly rate not directly connected by they service or task complited. I need staff physical presence which will cut my time calculating staff time and pay. If not I have to find a separate program or application. Thank you. Daisy, Stunning Nails, Melbourne Australia
The Report “Staff Working Hours” is based on the hours allocated under “Staff” so if someone arrives late, make sure to update their start time under “Staff Working Hours” :)

I would live to see a clock in/out feature added to Shedul.
Each State in America and all provinces of Canada require salon employees receiving commission to be paid their areas legal minimum wage. I realize North America is only one continent, but it is the only one that I am familiar with the basics of employment law.
It is a requirement for salon owners to track the hours of people worked and ensure that they are at least being paid their minimum. Not complying with this can cause huge issue for the salon in question.
Having the ability to easily track employee hours (including letting them clock out for unpaid breaks, etc) to make sure that you are complying with all federal regulations is pretty important. Especially if there is an issue down the line as the onus in on the salon owner to provide proof that they were not negligent. Being able to pull up an accurate hours worked report is essential for both everyday business and in case of government audit/review.

Clocking in and out using a username and password login for each staff member works too!

We pay some staff by commission and some hourly. A simple Clock in/Clock out (with ability to include a Break) along with their hourly rate would be great. This should also be included in the summary that calculates commission so you can run one report and get all the numbers needed for payroll. Thanks.

This would make lfe a lot easier for salons with hourly paid employees. I would vote for any simple IN/OUT function with a report feature.

Amazing feature and keep the management into one platform and loose all the other 3rd party platforms.
A feature allowing for employees to clock in and out is a great idea. This will increase manageability for the operations in the business.
What I have found out with punching in and out with codes is that sometimes the employees will have other employees input the code for them. I think a barcode or QR code system is a great idea, even though there are still ways to get around that. I currently use a finger scanning system but it would be nice if employee tracking was part of the whole salon management program

I think it would be really easy to have this in the system At the bottom of the screen there could just be a bar and under each staff member that is listed as an hourly person, this bar would have a button that says "clock in" and when you click it the person has arrived. the button then changes to a "clock out" button and when you click it will automatically tally up the hours as well as multiply it by the hourly rate set by the admin in the "staff" section. This information can then be obtained in the reports section.
To add on to what the other guy said this bar could have a tip counter just continually running under the commission staff that will just add up all of the tips for the day. so that at any point when the staff leaves they can look at the bottom of the screen and get it from the drawer.
I agree, we utilize a separate system for our time clock but would like it all on one if that could be a possibility. We do not utilize a bar code to scan or anything like it so just the simple Clock IN/OUT for start and end times as well as a break.
Time clock is great features to have it for Salon owners, which will be also helpful to import hours to generate their payrolls. I'm ok with fancy way like barcode scanning but prefer simple way like when they come to work they just simply punch in their pass code and when they are done do the same.
If you can add this feature then please add two more things.
1. Pop/Display Staff tips amount when they Clock Out: It will be easy to pay their tips in cash.
2. Exporting their hours to quick book or in excel/csv file: Payroll and accounting

A time clock for employees who are paid hourly, like the front desk person or shampoo girl. If they could clock in and out on this program and then their hours calculated would be great.
In staff cards
A enable for online booking for each staff member some staff don't want online booking.

Staff roster for split shifts in the same day or a break from x to x .
To simplify the roster a sugestion would be to just add the roster to each staff member card in the edit staff. buttons for details, services, working hours, time off and breaks
Maybe add times for each services each staff member takes different times to finish services. Or a way to add more time to a service that's needing more time frame.
